We're so excited to share our site with you. Our goal is to simplify the search for animal-related resources in Los Angeles County and surrounding areas. While the site is primarily focused on LA County, we've gathered some key resources in the surrounding counties, from Santa Barbara all the way to San Diego. Over time, we'll be adding more entries, so stay tuned for updates!

The Gentle Barn

About:	The over 160 farm animals that reside at The Gentle Barn have all been rescued from severe abuse, neglect, abandonment or worse. Because of their ongoing physical and psychological needs, they can't be adopted and are given sanctuary with us for the rest of their lives.
Humane education:	Notes: In addition to at-risk youth, there are programs for special needs children, as well as general educational/school programs. Program focus: At-risk youth Animal type: Large animal/farm animal (horse, cow, etc)
