There are sanctuaries for almost every type of animal, from cats and dogs to horses and wildlife. Most of these places encourage visitors and will arrange for tours. Even in an urban area like Los Angeles, you don't have to drive very far to spend the afternoon with a meerkat or a gibbon! |
